About the 100 Mile Challenge

The CancerFree KIDS 100 Mile Challenge is a 30-day fitness and fundraising campaign in the month of September to honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The concept is simple: do 100 miles of activity and raise $100 to help kids with cancer. Participants can complete their miles doing any activity they prefer and along the way, will learn more about kids who have or are currently battling cancer. There is a $25 registration fee that includes your 100 Mile Challenge t-shirt, 2 tickets to the Celebration of Champions After Party Concert (September 30th at 8pm at PromoWest Pavilion at OVATION in Newport, KY), your personal fundraising page and access to the 100 Mile Challenge Facebook Group. 100% of fundraising dollars will go to research.

Register to participate as an individual, create a team for your friends and family to join you, or join the Corporate Competition, presented by Interlink Cloud Advisors, and invite your co-workers to join you. The winners of the Corporate Competition will have a 2022 CancerFree KIDS Research Grant named in honor of their company!

Why Participate

This September, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, about 1,290 kids in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, the leading cause of death by disease in children. They join thousands currently in treatment and hundreds of thousands more who have previously battled cancer. However, research for childhood cancer is severely underfunded. Only 4% of the federal research budget is dedicated to pediatric cancer, none of which funds new, innovative ideas. The 100 Mile Challenge exists to spread awareness and raise funds to fuel CancerFree KIDS' mission to get these new, innovative ideas off the ground. During September, join us in funding childhood cancer research to give hope to kids battling cancer, now and in the future.
