On May 17th, Team Andrew will be participating in the CancerFree KIDS Butterfly Walk to further CancerFree KIDS' mission of funding life-saving childhood cancer research.  As all of you know Andrew was diagnosed with Leukemia in October 2022. He has been in remission since November of 2022. On December 30, 2024 Andrew got to ring the bell marking the end of his treatments. We are proud and excited to be a part of this event to celebrate survivors, remember those for whom a cure did not come soon enough and raise money in support of our kids and our mission to end childhood cancer. 

Pediatric cancer research receives less than 10% of all funding from the National Cancer Institute, and it shows. Many treatments for childhood cancer are outdated and can even be harmful to kids. Through CancerFree KIDS, I am trying to change this by raising funds for research that has the promise to provide new, gentler and more effective treatments for our smallest fighters.
