Kyle's 1,000 Mile Challenge!

For children fighting cancer

What's up everyone! Kyle is racing 1,000 miles, raising money for CancerFree KIDS, a charity funding life-saving research for kids battling cancer.

The Why…

  • Cancer is the #1 disease killer of children. That's a hard fact we've got to change.
  • Only 4% of cancer research funds go toward childhood cancers. We need to step it up!
  • This year, 9,620 children and 5,290 teens will be diagnosed with cancer. That's way too many.
  • 1 in 260 children will develop cancer. Every single one of them deserves a fighting chance.

The How…

CancerFree KIDS is making a real difference. They've provided over $7 million to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus and Cincinnati Children's Hospital. These grants are helping develop gentler and more effective treatments for kids with cancer. And get this – the research they've funded has led to over $71 million in additional research grants. That's a huge multiplier effect!

The 1,000 Mile Challenge:

After Kyle's son was diagnosed with advanced stage IV leukemia, Kyle started competing in marathons and triathlons, raising money for cancer research. This year, from May to December, Kyle's running a total of 1,000 miles in various races and training runs. Some of the big ones include Flying Pig MarathonCap City ½ MarathonChicago Triple Triathlon, Columbus Triathlon, and Columbus Marathon.

Kyle's son is among the lucky survivors. Now, Kyle runs for all kids fighting cancer and is looking for your support. And double your impact! A sponsor has graciously agreed to match 100% of all funds donated through this site!

Ready to jump in and support? Together, we can give these kids a fighting chance. Let's go!
