Can I use my zoo pass for this event?

Unfortunately, your zoo pass will not provide you entrance to the Butterfly Walk. You must register as a participant on the event website to be admitted into the zoo for the event.

Now that I registered, how do I get my ticket?

You will receive an email the week of the event with an electronic ticket for yourself, and any participants that you registered.

What does my ticket include?

• zoo entry with access to the Butterfly Walk which will begin at 9:00am.
• Entry to the designated picnic shelter for the Champion Ceremony, the Inspirational Walk, and waffle breakfast and activities following the walk.
• Parking pass for each driver.
• Butterfly Walk t-shirt (guaranteed if registered by 4/29/24).
• Swag bags for all children in attendance.

Can I register at the zoo for the Butterfly Walk?

With the change in venue to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens we cannot offer day of registrations for the Butterfly Walk. You must register as a participant on the event website to be admitted into the zoo for the event.

What time can I arrive at The Zoo?

Entry to the zoo for all Butterfly Walk participants begins at 8:00am. Once you enter the zoo, make your way to the designated picnic shelter. The event begins at 9:00am with the Champion Ceremony. Please allow ample time (20-30 min) to make your way from the parking lot to the picnic shelters located between the lemur lookout and the grove. 

What time does the Butterfly Walk end?

The Butterfly Walk in the designated picnic shelter will end at 11:30am. Enjoy the rest of your day with your friends and family exploring the zoo!

What is happening in the picnic shelters after the Inspirational Walk?

• A waffle bar breakfast will be served in the designated picnic shelters after the Inspirational Walk.
• We will have animal encounters for the whole family to enjoy.
• Face painters will be there from 10:00am to 11:30am.

What happens in the event of rain?

The Butterfly Walk will happen rain or shine! 

Is there a 5k Race this year?

With the change in venue to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens there is not a 5k Race as part of the Butterfly Walk.

How do I get my 18^th annual Butterfly Walk t-shirt?

We will have t-shirt pick up locations and times on Wednesday, May 15th and Thursday, May 16th. The details for this will be posted closer to the date.

What if I can’t pick up my shirt ahead of the event?

All remaining shirts will be available for pick up at the zoo the morning of the event. Plan on wearing something you can change. We would love for you to wear your Butterfly Walk t-shirt during your time at the zoo to help represent CancerFree KIDS and the Butterfly Walk throughout the day.

Where is the best place to park that day?

Guests attending the Butterfly Walk should park in the main Zoo parking lot at 3427 Vine Street.

Can I reenter the zoo with my Butterfly Walk ticket?

Your ticket allows for re-entry the same day should you need to leave for any reason.

Can’t come to the Butterfly Walk, and want to support CancerFree KIDS and this event?

• Register as Fundraiser Only to request donations from your friends and family.
• Donate to a team and/or participant already registered.
