Miami University 50 Mile Challenge, benefiting

Take the 50 Mile Challenge to complete 50 miles of activity and raise $100 to fund life-saving childhood cancer research!

About the 50 Mile Challenge

Miami University is thrilled to be the first college campus to launch the 50 Mile Challenge, benefiting CancerFree KIDS. This challenge is a 14-day fitness and fundraising campaign. The concept is simple: do 50 miles of activity and raise $100 to help kids with cancer. You can walk, run, bike, swim, skate, it's up to you! As you complete the physical challenge, reach out to friends and family directly and through social media to ask them to support you in your fundraising efforts. Your fundraising dollars help fund novel, life-saving childhood cancer research!

Teams can host challenge events - like a 3 on 3 basketball tournament where everyone can log miles toward their goal while participating. Let's have some fun with this!

Recognition will be given at the C-SEAL Awards on Wednesday, April 24th. There will be a variety of winners - including The team with the largest per capita participation; The team that raises the most money; The overall individual that raises the most money and more.

Registration is free: With your registration you receive a 50 Mile Challenge t-shirt and access to your personal fundraising page where you will have many resources to help with your fundraising.

Earn Incentives: Click here to see the incentives you can earn while you fundraise.

Why Participate?

Each month about 1,290 kids in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, the leading cause of death by disease in children. They join thousands currently in treatment and hundreds of thousands more who have previously battled cancer. However, research for childhood cancer is severely underfunded. Less than 10% of the federal research budget is dedicated to pediatric cancer, none of which funds new, innovative ideas. This 50 Mile Challenge was created to spread awareness and raise funds to fuel CancerFree KIDS' mission to get these new, innovative ideas off the ground.
